My 2x Grt Grandmother was Eliza Raby who was born in 1838, her mother was Mary Ann/Marian Raby and her father was said to be Charles Wrigglesworth from Sherburn. I have a copy of a document from the Pontefract Sessions Book - Bastardly Order on 2 April 1838 that Charles Wrigglesworth was being sited to be Eliza Raby's father. This case was being brought by the Church Wardens and Overseers of Poor of the Township of Aberford.
